Hurricane Katrina

We're in Murfreesburo, near Nashville, getting in a visit with my nephews. We're in a really nice Quality Inn that takes pets and have reservations in Meridian (assuming we can get to it) in another nice one that also takes pets starting Wednesday. Ryan and his family headed toward Texas, and their normal five hour drive took 16 the poor dears. Ours wasnt bad at all. There was almost no traffic up 59. I was kinda bummed we had to cut my Ruston trip short, and I"m unbelieveably tired of driving (5 hours to Ruston Friday, 8 hours to get back in Saturday, and 9 hours to get up here yesterday), but minus having one semi breakdown before we left and wondering what has happening to my house I'm doing just fine. Would ANYBODY NEAR Slidell let me know how things are looking the first chance they get? WE cant get ahold of anybody, and nobody seems to have pictures. Closest we've seen is Covington. Cats DO NOT like to travel poor dears, hamsters dont seem to mind too much, and I'm glad I brought their bigger cages instead of their travel cages. The dog is in hog heaven b/c he's in his kennel in the AC all day. Mom has only fallen apart once, and I'm the same. Get to stay at my brother's house with the boys tonight and "babysit" with my parents. We should have a good time.
